The John Barr Cabinet
For many years John has supplied us with prototypes we requested; like the reproductions from the Udo Proksch designs; as well as his own designs and ideas in prototype form. Sometimes they are basic and sometimes they are way out. Like the famous Pierre Marly, who made mainly One Of A Kind frames for discerning clients, John is also a master designer and craftsman, whose work we believe will be of great value in the future.
Drawer 3 are all John Barr originals - his own designs and each one is One Of A Kind.
Slot 1 - Nice block tortoise sun. US$ 300.
Slot 2 - Small ladies crystal acetate with engraving behind the front. US$ 300.
Slot 3 - Oversized sun with engraving on the front and temples. US$ 350.
Slot 4 - Oversized sun with cutouts across the top of the front. A very special piece. US$ 400.
Slot 5 - Crystal acetate sun with back engraving. Very nice! US$ 350.
Slot 6 - Lucite (also known as Acrylic, Perspex or Plexiglas) - round black frame with bayonet temples. US$ 300.
Slot 7 - Ladies sun - shiny front and matte temples - mirrored lenses. US$ 300.
Slot 8 - Oversized sun - a laminated masterpiece - mirror lenses. US$ 400.
Slot 9 - another laminated masterpiece - with gold mirrored lenses. US$ 500.
Slot 10 - as above - another member of the family. US$ 500.

Slot 12 - Very cool shape in matte finish. US$ 300.
