John Barr - design prototypes. A variety of experiments in acrylic sunglasses.

Slot 1 - 2 pieces of metal aviators with engraved acrylic pieces mounted inside the double bridge opening - great design reference but not recommended to wear. US$ 200 FOR BOTH.

Slot 2 - Very nice tinted crystal wayfarer type front with embossed outside and shiny inside temple. US$ 300.

Slot 3 - Experiment in colours and finish - matte crystal sun front with amazing work on temple - inside was painted blue and then painted opaque gold. The effect is incredible. US$ 300.

Slot 4 - As above but more understated. Beautiful sunglass. US$ 300.

Slot 5 - Acrylic - tinted light green crystal front and temples, all with very ornate back engraving on front and temples. Dark green lenses. Superb. US$ 500.

Slot 6 - As above but engraved on semi-rimless front only with solid white temples. Mirror lens. US$ 500.

Slot 7 - As 6 but mauve tints and round eyeshape. US$ 500.

Slot 8 - Shape as Slot 2 but dark green crystal front and large cutout temple. US$ 300.

Slot 9 - Beautiful crystal front with brushing on outside of temples. US$ 300.

Slot 10 - Silk laminated in acrylic front and temples. Very likely the best example of silk lamination we have ever seen. US$ 400.

Slot 11 - As above but with a finer silk. Unbelievable result. This could never have been achieved in acetate. US$ 400.

Slot 12 - Tinted rectangular front with brushing on top of front and outside of temples. US$ 300.
